You may even throw in a bribe, that if they give, they can keep their top dice on the table for the next associated conflict. ie, stakes are, if you lose this sanity check you'll rip the skin off the left side of your face, taking a 2d4 trait. What about, if you lose this sanity check, eventually you'll despair and try to kill someone you love.
