Title: Large Map Printer Wanter
Post by: Morbius_of_Oz on June 15, 2009, 02:54:06 AM
Can anyone here recommend a printer who can print larger maps?

Thanks very much,

These guys (http://www.gamer-printshop.com/) are pretty active on the Cartographers Guild (http://www.cartographersguild.com/). I've not yet used them, but I intend to pretty soon.

Wordman,

Thanks for that. They do seem to be one of the very, very few games in town when it comes to this sort of job.

A full-service Kinko's could print a HUGE map, with their poster- and banner-printing service. I think they're maximum width is 48"...

*searches*

Yep, 48" width max (http://www.fedex.com/us/office/marketing/signsbanners/posters/packages.html), and probably no length max. And, hell, if you're made of money, you could get it done on durable vinyl, which would support dry-erase markers (I suppose) for marking AoE effects, environmental damage, etc.
