Title: Playing RPG's with Students
Post by: noahtrammell on October 31, 2009, 04:27:41 PM
I'm writing an essay in school on why RPG's should be incorporated into education.  I have some statistical stuff, but I think that I also need a few anecdotes to back it up as stories have more impact than numbers.  Could anyone point me to some good threads regarding playing RPG's in a school setting?

You're in luck, there was such a thing going on quite recently:

Suggestions and hints? Role-playing with adolescents in school (http://www.indie-rpgs.com/forum/index.php?topic=28602.0)

[UtB] Under the Bed with Adolescents, pt. 2 (http://www.indie-rpgs.com/forum/index.php?topic=28746.0)

Yeah, hopefully you find something useful in those. I played Under the Bed with 16-17 year old school teens, but I wasn't trying to teach them maths or anything with it. Just mainly aimed for some empowering group building -stuff.

If you have anything specific you'd like stories about, just ask!
