Title: Stregoneria RPG Latest News and Big Changes!
Post by: Stregheria on September 21, 2010, 04:12:13 PM
Big changes have been afoot since my last post about the game: the Stregoneria rulebook will now have the 'Blood on the Battlefield' supplement integrated into it and will also no longer contain the map of the land of Erepou but instead will come with an A3 sized poster map included with it. As well as these changes the rulebook has been expanded to include much more information. Purchasers of the hard copy will also receive a pair of lovely red crystal oblivion dice absolutely free!

Unfortunately this means that the release of the game will be delayed by a couple of weeks but considering what players will now get: a whopping 400 pages or so of material, the changes are deemed to be worthwhile..

Don't drop the rulebook on your foot! (Ouch!)

Playtesting will be happening every day this week and at the end of it, I'll post a summary in the actual play section. A couple of members of this forum may be receiving a prelimenary copy of the rules before release after the playtest next monday, so they might tell you all a bit more about it.

That sounds like some pretty big changes.

Have you been in contact with your printer?  How big of a print run are you doing, and how many copies will you need to sell to break even?

Are you planning on selling primarily by direct sales, or through retailers?

I'm getting a run of fifty books printed with softcovers. At the price I'm selling them for, I'll need to sell about half to break even.

The book will be going on sale in a couple of famous bricks and mortar rpg outlets in the UK who have previewed the game and have been impressed by it and it will also be available to purchase directly from myself via my website. I'm also cosidering putting it on drivethru.
