Title: Bringing 3D characters to life
Post by: cwaldo39 on November 10, 2011, 11:40:48 AM
Have you guys ever heard of 3D printing? Basically, artists can create 3D models, and they can be printed into real figurines made out of lots of materials, from ABS plastic, to sandstone, to stainless steel, to sterling silver, or even gold. I had a buddy on my last team upload one of his base models to a 3D printing company.

Check out his model http://kraftwurx.com/shop-infinite-possibilities?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage_kraftwurx.tpl&product_id=164&category_id=8 (http://kraftwurx.com/shop-infinite-possibilities?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage_kraftwurx.tpl&product_id=164&category_id=8)

Have you guys ever done anything similar to this?

It is remotely possible that the two threads from this poster are not spam.

Let's give him a chance and see.
