YouTube teasers?

matthijs:
Some friends of mine - Ole Peder Giæver and Martin Bull Gudmundsen - have written an RPG called "Itras By". It's in Norwegian, so it's probably not very accessible to most people here - but what's interesting is that they've made a teaser video for the game. This is pretty common in Nordic LARP circles, but I don't think many RPGs have done this before.

You can see the teaser here.

That's a really interesting and creepy video, made more so by the fact that I don't understand any of the voice-over.  Warning to others: there is some NSFE (Not Safe For Eyeballs) mess in the middle.

We did something similar for the Shab-al-Hiri Roach, which I think works well as a no-budget trailer for the game.  I'd love to see more of this sort of thing-  it's a great way to get across the tone and theme of a game, without getting into the details just yet (that's what demos are for).

The guys at 12 to Midnight recently made a couple of videos for their Steamworks product:

You can also post your videos over at http://www.book-trailers.net

Any info on how it was made?
It looks like a lot of old stock footage, but it's a lot better than what I've been seeing online.

matthijs:
A lot of the old footage is from Un Chien Andalous (or however it's spelled), an old surrealist movie. The rest, I don't know...
