... or at least for the topic that the link with that name used to point to. There is a (nominal) link in the Scattershot archives under the topic "The Official Scattershot Reading List" by Le Joueur, but the link just kicks me back out to the forum list. And searching doesn't seem to find it.
Those of you familiar with the old "No Myth" discussions will likely recognize the post I am looking for.

A lot of links in the very old version of the forum got trashed. Forums often do this with upgrades or changes of software, so it's preferable to write a link directly in the text of a post (that stay unchanged) instead of hyperlinking a title.
A lot of old hyoerlinks are like this: http://www.indie-rpgs.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=49740#49740 (without the number of the thread)
and they are the ones that doesn't work anymore. (the ones with the thread number still works)
So, if the link is useless, your best bet is to use the advanced search feature of the archives: http://indie-rpgs.com/archive/index.php?action=search;advanced
Don't use the entire title "Star Wars: A New Hope as an example of 'non-control' gamemastering" " in the search engine, it's possible that it wasn't really what was written at the time. Try to find a part that you are sure about (in this case: "Star Wars A new hope) and use any other information you have (in this case, "Le Joueur" in the "by user" space)
I did this, and I think found your thread. So why I am writing all this instead of giving you the link? Well, the principal reason is that the search did come up with 5 results. One of these threads is the one you want, but I don't know which. And it's not possible to write a link to a forum search (OK, it's probably possible adding parameters to the url, but I don't know how). So to get these 5 results you will have to do the same exact search yourself.
The other reason is that in this way, this post is more of a "guide to the archives", so it's more in topic...and more useful for other people, too.

That all makes sense, and I don't mind running the search myself. However, when I search on "star wars" and author = "le joueur", I still get zero results. (And I've tried various permutations on the other options.) I tried a test by looking for a topic I know for sure exists: "No myth gamemastering" started by "Le Joueur", and again I get zero results.
So there's something about searching that I'm not understanding...
It's strange, I tried it again and I got the results.. are you sure you are using the Forge Archive search ( http://indie-rpgs.com/archive/index.php?action=search;advanced ), and not the one in this new forum? This one goes at most a couple of years back.
You should get AT LEAST the "The Official Scattershot Reading List" thread you talked about: it's a thread where you did read "star Wars" posted by Le Joueur: why it didn't come up?
