QuoteThat would be the GM taking the lead from the players with regard to which story elements (NPCs) are important to the stories that they want to tell.
Quote from: Ron Edwards on March 14, 2010, 11:49:16 PMHi there,John, this sentence is full of weird things, or maybe I'm being foolish:QuoteThat would be the GM taking the lead from the players with regard to which story elements (NPCs) are important to the stories that they want to tell.I hope you mean by "taking the lead," simply, working with the material as played and continuing to play. In which case there's no real change in what's happening or how things are being played. That would make sense, and that might be what you intended. Let me know if that's it.On the other hand, I fear a subtext of either the players or the GM being in charge in some kind of way: with either (1) the GM being basically a gormless lout while the players "run things," or (2) the GM suddenly ramping up and being the boss to give the players cues they must follow. Let me know if my fear is grounded.Best, Ron
