My nephew recently got me to watch a strange little anime called Death Note. This is probably the best example I could think of to show the relationship between a sorcerer and a demon. The Demon, or shinigami as it is called, as very little if any loyalty to the sorcerer. Has a Need for apples. And is mostly in it just to watch the fun unfold. If you get a chance its a great example to watch.
